Busy Two Months for JOHNNIE BE GOOD

Thanks to Riverfront Times writer Chrissy Wilmes for the recent coverage in RFT. Page 42 in this week’s RFT. Sunday August 15th filmmaker Art Holliday will be the radio guest at 9:15 a.m. on Bob Hardcastle’s Moneytalk show (590 AM) and we will talk about the documentary.

Thursday evening August 26, the Webster University Film Series is hosting me to talk about the making of JOHNNIE BE GOOD.And there’s the great night of music September 19 at The Sheldon Concert Hall at 7 p.m. Opening is LA singer/songwriter Dona Oxford, a student of Johnnie and his great friend. Dona performs with the always great Johnnie Johnson Band. Headliners are Johnnie’s east coast band Jimmy Vivino, Mike Merritt, and James Wormworth from Conan O’Brien’s tv show band. All the musicians have a direct link to Johnnie, so it’ll be a night of stories and music to celebrate Johnnie. It will help greatly as editing continues and the final stages of the project are on the horizon. Thank you for supporting JOHNNIE BE GOOD. http://www.indiegogo/johnnie-be-goodThe journey be good
